Tech is an area of career growth, whether you have technical skills that may be used across a range of job sectors, or different skillsets that may be required within the tech industry. CareerTech at Memorial helps students gain an understanding of the types of jobs and skills that are needed right now within the technology sector. Explore the options, and see where you fit in this growing area of work and careers!

CareerTech workshops are open to all students at Memorial and College of the North Atlantic, regardless of education or background.

They’ve been developed in consultation with industry players and program partners to meet current demands within the sector. Diversify your skillset, increase your self-awareness, build your professional network and jump-start your career.

You may complete all five workshops or any individual workshop that piques your interest.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding under the program, participants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada;
  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial and federal legislation and regulations;
  • Reside in Newfoundland & Labrador.

Each partner may have additional eligibility criteria for their respective programs.

Individuals of equity priority groups will be prioritized to support diversity and the long-term success of the tech ecosystem across the province.
