ACENET ’s Advanced Computing Certificate will appeal to people with knowledge, experience, and comfort with computers that want to develop advanced computing skills to either expand their employment prospects or bring new capabilities to their existing career. This combination of online classes and self-directed study is designed to provide students with a breadth of advanced computing knowledge and skills, covering programming in Python, data analytics, machine learning and version control, and promoting competence with technical project workflows and tools. Completing the program will hone your problem-solving and critical thinking skills, prove your ability to learn new technical skills quickly, and boost confidence in your technical abilities and your capacity to learn and grow those skills. Eligibility To be eligible for funding under the program, participants must meet all the following criteria:
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada; Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial and federal legislation and regulations; Reside in Newfoundland & Labrador. Each partner may have additional eligibility criteria for their respective programs.
Individuals of equity priority groups will be prioritized to support diversity and the long-term success of the tech ecosystem across the province.
